Following the devastating earthquake impacting Turkey and Syria, please see below important updates from EE, O2 and Vodafone regarding crediting calls, texts, and data.
The networks want to ensure that customers are able to stay in touch with family and friends during this time.
EE Update
EE have made mobile calls, texts and data used in Turkey and Syria free-of-charge for their customers between 6th and 10th February 2023 (inclusive),
EE have also made calls from the UK to Turkey and Syria free, so you can check on your loved ones without incurring charges.
Please be aware, mobile signal in the area might be affected by damage to local networks and equipment.
O2 Update
To support their customers who have been impacted, O2 are crediting back the cost of SMS messages to and from the UK to Turkey and Syria from 6th to 20th February 2023.
Vodafone Update
Vodafone will be automatically crediting all calls and texts from customers within the UK who are contacting Turkey and Syria between 6th and 13th February 2023.
In addition, Vodafone UK customers who use minutes, texts and data in Turkey and minutes and texts in Syria during these times will also be automatically credited for their usage.
There will be a grace period until 25th April 2023.
